The Beach Stadium
"The Beach Stadium is one of the largest seasonal sports structures set up in Porto in the summer.
In accordance with the Porto Climate Pact, there is an effort to mitigate the impact of the ecological footprint with the provision of differentiated waste collection stations, placement of water supply points and reuse of promotional materials in the post-event.
The Beach Stadium is an initiative of the Porto City Hall, implemented by the municipal company Ágora, that welcomes all types of Sports events from June to September. Admission to all events is free.

The Leça da Palmeira beach has one of the largest stretches of sand to be found in the North of Portugal. Here there is the salt-water swimming pool, wonderfully integrated into its surroundings to fit perfectly on the beach, this is another Álvaro Siza Vieira project built in 1966.

Well known for its fish market, but it is not the only thing it has to offer. It also has plant shops, seafood, fresh vegetables and fine ingredients.
It is located right next to the sea and in a fisherman area, and it is surrounded by local restaurants with delicious fish meals.

Spans the River Douro between the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. At its construction, its 172 metres (564 ft) span was the longest of its type in the world. Designed by Théophile Seyrig in 1881.
